MILFORD UNTION CEMETERY'S AVAILABLE SERVICES

Milford Union Cemetery has been serving the community since the 1800's. You can read more about out history in the blog posts below. The following services are offered by the Association including plot purchases and internment options.
GRAVE OPENING BURIAL FEES

GRAVE OPENING BURIAL FEES

The standard grounds fees for grave openings and internment at Milford Union Cemetery are $1,600 weekdays: Monday to Friday, $2,200 on Saturdays and $2,600 on Sundays/Holidays. For services arrange with less that 48 hours notice, a $200 fee will added to the standard grounds fees. These arrangements are most often handled by the Funeral Director and arranged directly with our staff. HEADSTONE FOUNDATION INSTALLATIONS

HEADSTONE FOUNDATION INSTALLATIONS

The Milford Union Cemetery fees for headstone foundation will vary by size in accordance with the size and weight of each headstone. Installation times may vary by season due to weather and ground conditions. The monument company will collect and handle the fee for the foundation pour on behalf of Milford Union Cemetery for standard headstone foundations. These arrangements are handled by the monument company and arranged directly with our staff.
CREMATION INTERNMENTS

CREMATION INTERNMENTS

The Milford Union Cemetery grounds fee per individual cremation internment is $725 weekdays: Monday - Friday, $1,050 on Saturdays and $1,450 on Sundays/Holidays. For services arrange with less that 48 hours notice, a $200 fee will added to the standard grounds fees. These arrangements are most often handled by the Funeral Director and arranged directly with our staff. VETERAN WAR PLAQUES

VETERAN WAR PLAQUES

The Milford Union Cemetery fee the installation of a Veteran's war plaque is $350. This fee is paid by the family directly to the Milford Union Cemetery Association prior to the installation of the plaque. These plaques are usually requested by the family through the Funeral Director and installation is arranged directly with our staff. Installtion is limited to ceratin seasons and weather conditions. PLOTS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE

PLOTS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE

Single and group family plots are available for sale in various area of the Cemetery grounds. As of May 2021 plots prices are: $1,250 for a Single, $2,000 for a Double and $4,000 for a Quad. For information on sales or to make an appointment to view the available areas, contact Jeanne Szwec at (908) 995-2098 / (973) 390-7967 during normal weekday business hours. PLEASE NOTE: Delivery of completed Deeds may take several months due to Trustee availablility, semi-annual meetings and Notary requirements. We appreciate your patience.

The Milford Union Cemetery grounds fees for an infant burial is $500 weekdays: Monday - Friday, $750 on Saturdays and $750 on Sundays/Holidays. For services arrange with less that 48 hours notice, a $200 fee will added to the standard grounds fees. These arrangements are most often handled by the Funeral Director and arranged directly with our staff. Milford Union Cemetery Association is a non-profit organization. We have various opportunities available to those kind enough to offer their time, talent and treasure to our Association. TRUSTEE POSITIONS ON OUR BOARD

The Milford Union Cemetery Board of Trustees consists of 9 individuals that commit to serving a 2-year term, although many of our Trustees have chosen to remain on the Board for consecutive terms. In order to be considered for on open seat an individual must be a plot owner. The Association meets twice a year at an evening meeting in May and November. DONATIONS GRATEFULLY ACCEPTED

The Milford Union Cemetery has been the grateful recipient of generous donations from individuals, families and local organizations such as the Milford-Frenchtown VFW and Lions Club. These donations help us to fund our operating expenses and are a true blessing. VOLUNTEER PROJECTS

The Milford Union Cemetery has a small WISH LIST that includes projects that would offer beautification enhancements and help us maintain the cemetery property. These items would perhaps work well as a Boy Scout Eagle project or as a volunteer opportunity.
